Name: James Byrne.
First year with CRAPPPS (approx. if not known): 2014.
Years of service (up to and including 2016): 3.
Current Plough Play part: Marling Ned.
CRAPPPS shows involved with: Plough Play, St George’s Play, Punch ‘n’ Judy Show (plus others in pipeline).
CRAPPPS parts played: Farmer’s Man, Marling Ned, Hopper Joe (Plough Play), Jester, Mop (St George’s Play), Narrator (Punch ‘n’ Judy Show).
Favourite Plough Play tour pub: Fox and Hounds (Blidworth).
Whiff whaff (or other beverage) of choice: Laphroaig (whisky of choice for any given occasion), Dalwhinnie, Lagavullin (preferably peaty, single malt. Under no circumstances will I be carrying Bells or Teachers).
Best CRAPPPS memory: My favourite moments are in the build-up to each show. The walk or drive between each venue – the banter, the songs, the occasional line run in a chip shop or on a bus.
So it is very difficult to narrow this down to one. Especially as the best memories from each tour tend to be the fuzziest …
One stand-out memory was all of the St George’s Day run 2015. Some amazing crowds with great participation – loads of laughs and generally a great day out.
